AN OPEN LETTER FROM MIKE AND LAURIE QUAIL
Dear God;
First and foremost, thank you for the gift from heaven, our beautiful and kind Shannon. She brought us a lifetime of joy and pride. She was a perfect little girl. We struggle so very badly to understand why you needed her so soon, please bless us over time with the strength to accept your plan. Her dear friend Dana, like a daughter to us, please continue to heal her back to the wonderful person Shannon came to love.

Dear Shannon;
We can only hope that now you can truly grasp how much we love you. We hope we made your 18 years with us as happy as you made us feel. You have always done the right thing. You were always good to your family, friends, teachers, coaches and complete strangers. Your random acts of kindness from the time you could walk have been inspirational. The 5 of us will carry on, with you in our hearts, and do our best to make you proud. As heartbreaking as it is to know we will not hear your loud singing in the shower, or your sarcastic wise cracks at the dinner table, we'll know you are with us wherever we go.

To Ryan, Julie & Michelle;
You are truly miracles! You are perfect children in every way. Shannon so obviously loved and idolized you in so many ways. For the rest of your lives, know that you were the perfect sibling for every minute of Shannon's 18 years. Please be strong for mom & dad and each other. We look forward to many years of love and laughter with the 5 of us down on earth making Shannon proud.

To our Relatives and Friends;
We have always been so blessed to be surrounded both in St. Louis and in Pittsburgh with such incredible love. All of you have put a part of you in our Shannon and helped us make an amazing person. We will now need you more than ever. Above all, please promise to keep Shannon alive.

To Shannon's Friends and Classmates;
We wish you could somehow know how much we love all of you. Thank you for filling her life with love and laughter. Her Seneca Valley family meant the world to her. The lacrosse trips, the ping pong tournaments, the parties, the just hanging out and just watching a game meant so much to her. She thrived on them. Thanks to all of you, she woke up with a smile, went to bed with a smile and laughed most of the day. We hope some day you will all have children who experienced the same network of love and you will know what we mean.

Lastly, to Everyone;
Thank you for your love. Please be there for Ryan, Julie and Michelle any way that you can and be our support. Please don't stop talking about Shannon, keep her alive, we'll laugh, we'll cry but let's talk about her. Most importantly, leave this service with Shannon as your role model. Be loyal, be good, make God proud.
